Consultant, Educator, Writer

Grove HarrisGreetings. I've begun this simple site to share information and resources on various areas of my services, work, and creativity. For more information, please contact me at groveharris@post.harvard.edu.

CONSULTANT

I consult with groups and non-profit organizations that have religious diversity or interfaith work in their mission. The boundaries of inclusion, broad participation, and sustainability can be central concerns; I draw on a wealth of exemplary practices gleaned from years of work researching and participating in the interfaith movement. I managed the extraordinary growth of the Pluralism Project at Harvard University and am committed to principles of cooperation, synergy, transparency, efficiency, and simplicity.

EDUCATOR

Religious Diversity: Resources for Teachers, Students, and Everyone

I offer workshops for diverse audiences, focused on the development and satisfaction of curiosity about religious difference. Multi-media and multi-resource presentations allow for comfortable exploration for better understanding of our neighbors and ourselves. Resources for classroom use and methods of engaging students are a specialty.

WRITER

My work to date includes articles, chapters, and a section of the CD-ROM On Common Ground: World Religions in America.

PEACE COMMISSIONER

Since 2003 I have served as a Peace Commissioner of my city, Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Commission is an appointed governmental body of 20 members concerned with building peace locally and making the connections to international peace issues. The pages on this site augment the governmental site with additional transparency and links.

PLURALISM PROJECT AFFILIATE

I am currently an affiliate of the Pluralism Project at Harvard University which helps Americans engage with religious diversity. I managed the extraordinary growth of this research project through January, 2007, and have given over 50 presentations on the religious diversity of America, resources for teachers, Paganism in America, and the interfaith movement.
